The role

With strong growth year on year over the past 5 years, AXON’s Real-World practice has an outstanding opportunity for an Associate Director to join its dynamic, friendly, international team. Our industry-leading flexible working policy means you could be fully office-based, in London or New York, a hybrid worker, or even fully remote.

This is a chance to use your knowledge and expertise in real-world value demonstration and market access, as well as furthering your people leadership experience with a dispersed, and often cross-agency team. You will be working on high-level strategic projects in value communications and market access, including deliverables, such as value dossiers or HTA submissions, market access research, communications, and engagement activities. The team is at a particularly exciting stage in its growth and development at present, so there is tremendous potential for you to really make your mark.

Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Senior review and, where necessary, the creation of a wide range of documents, such as HTA reports, Global Value Dossiers, market access training decks (internal & external)

• Management & content development, as needed, for a wide range of meetings and stakeholder engagement programmes, such as steering committee meetings, advisory boards, and standalone educational meetings

• Successfully managing client relationships and providing effective counsel to clients and leading formal client meetings

• Review of team members work for style, strategy, content accuracy and data checking

• Mentoring, coaching and monitoring the long-term career development of staff

• Involvement in the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and input into shaping the business, its culture and processes

• Identifying and capitalising on business opportunities, including supporting new business development efforts through research, proposal development and pitching

We have a keen focus on training and development and as a rough guide, suggest you aim to complete 37.5 hours of learning a year. Whether that be through online learning, classroom training, or attending external events; that’s one week a year dedicated to your development.

The ideal candidate

You will be:

• An individual with superior knowledge and expertise in real-world value demonstration and market access

• Looking to take your people leadership experience to the next level and further your experience of working with a dispersed, and often cross-agency team

• Wanting to increase your high-level strategic writing skills in value communications and market access, including deliverables, such as value dossiers or HTA submissions, market access research, communications, and engagement activities

• Excellent at writing, presentation and creative thinking

• Relishing the chance to identify new business opportunities and seeking to enhance your experience in responding to and leading the development of new business proposals

• Sound in operational, financial management, and negotiations skills

• Seeking to further your project management skills

• A team-focused proactive person with a drive to develop, as an individual, and within a team

• From a strong scientific background, educated to a minimum degree level in life sciences (MSc/PhD advantageous)
