Our Clinical Studies team is seeking an experienced Senior Operations Director who will be integral to our operations, playing a vital role in driving efficiency, quality, and growth. You will be responsible for leading the team and working with the senior team to build sound and strategic recommendations.
As a Senior Operations Director you will:
- be a key member of our team, responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operational aspects of our business
- have a minimum of 10 years of experience in operations
- bring your expertise to drive efficiency, quality, and growth within the organization
- work closely with client teams to ensure seamless coordination, effective resource allocation, and adherence to AXON Clinical Studies standards, all while upholding our commitment to patient-centric care
We are looking for a dedicated individual with a passion for excellence who will be instrumental and act as an additional focal point to our success as a success as a Senior Operations Director.
Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership:
- Provide direction for the operational functions
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization’s goals
- Lead and mentor a team of Group Account Directors/Account Directors and Senior Account Managers /Account Managers to ensure cohesive and effective operations across all functional areas
2. Process Optimization:
- Analyze existing operational processes and identify opportunities for streamlining workflows and enhancing efficiency
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize resource utilization and reduce operational costs
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to measure operational effectiveness and make data-driven decisions
3. Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay up to date with industry regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure compliance across all operational activities
- Collaborate with the QC team to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and maintain necessary certifications
4. Resource Management:
- Oversee capacity planning process for team to ensure utilization across the team
- Allocate resources effectively to support various clients, ensuring optimal staffing levels and appropriate skill sets
- Review budgets, financial forecasts, and participate in resource planning with the Senior Leadership Team
5. Quality Assurance:
- Implement measures to enhance client satisfaction and overall business outcomes
6. Change Management:
- Drive change initiatives within the organization, ensuring smooth transitions during periods of growth, process changes, or technological advancements
Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations management role, with at least 5 years in leadership role; experience in healthcare is preferred
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, compliance, and industry best practices
- Proven track record of driving operational excellence, process improvement, and resource optimization
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and using insights to inform strategic decisions
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and lead teams through transitions
