The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for sourcing the best talent within the healthcare communications industry for our growing business in Europe (UK and Nordics).

Working closely within the teams, this role will advise and support all levels of Hiring Managers within the organisation and will be involved in all stages of the recruitment cycle.

Reporting into the HR Director, the Talent Acquisition Manager will have real ownership to drive forward our recruitment strategy and will be responsible for managing and mentoring our HR Team Administrator.

This role will have a lot of independent project work and therefore has real potential to drive the Talent function and influence the people strategy in line with business objectives.

Responsibilities

Talent planning/organisation development

  • Working alongside Senior Management Teams to identify talent gaps and help them formulate briefs
  • Proactive talent pipelining
  • Evaluating the market and advising the HR Director to ensure we continue to offer the most competitive compensation packages
  • Providing interview training to consultants and others in the business as required
  • Devise creative ideas to engage and communicate with alumni and hi-po talent within the marketplace

Recruitment

  • Formulation of the recruitment brief
  • Advertising roles through the most appropriate channels
  • Sourcing candidates directly
  • Continuing to build positive relationships with our existing recruitment agencies and ensuring we have the best terms in place with our Preferred Supplier List (PSL)
  • Screening candidates
  • Scheduling interviews (with support from the HR Administrator)
  • Creating contracts of employment
  • Advising on best practice relating to candidate experience
  • Negotiating and making offers to candidates
  • Ensuring AXON attracts and recruit the most diverse talent through inclusive recruitment advertising and screening processes.

Onboarding

  • Working alongside the HR Officer to ensure successful on-boarding and integration of candidates into our teams.

Marketing/Profile

  • Helping to elevate each brands’ profiles through attending industry events and building network with HR and comms communities
  • Supporting awards entries where relevant
  • Working with the Global Marketing Manager to ensure talent initiatives and activities are being promoted online in a regular and timely way

Candidate

  • Experience of working within recruitment (either within a recruitment agency or in-house)
  • Experience spent in a Healthcare Communications or Medical agency environment is desirable
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems and/or LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Understanding of legal compliance issues such as IR35, GDPR and Right to Work in the UK
  • Ability to build relationships and work alongside a variety of levels within an organisation
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship abilities
  • A pro-active and team-focused mind-set
  • A drive to develop, as an individual, and within a team
