Our business is to ignite change in healthcare through the power of communication. This demands we find new ways of thinking and doing, every day. As global healthcare communication specialists, we provide clients with advice on medical affairs, clinical studies, real-world evidence, marketing, advocacy, and communication.

Our story

Established in 2002, we have 20 years of healthcare strategy and communications heritage, and we continue to learn and grow in the fast-changing healthcare sphere.

Our early days

In 2002, we established the AXON brand and launched operations in Toronto and London the following year. Our team and client roster grew rapidly. From the start we integrated expertise in several areas of healthcare communications, including medical communications, public relations, and clinical trial support.

Expanding the firm

In 2010, we opened our office in New York to support global clients based in the US and clients focused on the US market. This was followed by the launch of our Copenhagen office in 2012, and both have continued to support clients in their regions very successfully. Today, with the ease of remote working, we employ people in several countries who provide valuable and diverse expertise.

Broadening our offering

We have grown alongside our clients, meeting an increasingly broad range of communications needs. Our Insights team provides innovative approaches to understanding stakeholders and identifying communication opportunities. We use those insights to shape creative strategy and thinking. Creative strategy has become central to our work, and we partner closely with our creative colleagues to shape communications with impact.

Being at the forefront of our industry

Our people provide clients with ground-breaking expertise, and we are constantly evolving our service offering to ensure our work is at the forefront of our industry. That may be looking at new ways to engage with healthcare professionals, new approaches to communicating real-world evidence, innovative ways of helping our clients deliver on their clinical trials or new thinking on how to deliver the right message through the right channels at the right time.
