Godfrey Lisk, PhD

16 March 2022 – AXON is excited to announce the appointment of an experienced scientific services director, Godfrey Lisk, PhD, to the agency’s Medical practice. Godfrey, the latest Director to join AXON, will further bolster the senior leadership team and support the Firm’s growth ambitions.


Godfrey was formally the Scientific Services Director at Chameleon and brings tremendous experience and passion for mentorship and developing medical and scientific talent. With AXON’s medical writing team continuing to grow, Godfrey joining provides an exciting development opportunity for the team throughout 2022 and beyond.

Godfrey has worked in healthcare communications for more than 11 years and has a wealth of experience from his roles at both his previous agency and Parexel. Before that he was a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the US for 8 years, where his interest in medical writing began. Godfrey attained both a BSc and a PhD in Biochemistry from Imperial College London.

Throughout his career, Godfrey has worked across a range of scientific content, spanning multiple therapy areas, and has experience in managing multidisciplinary teams across different international locales, developing and training junior and senior medical writers as well as scientific team leads. His varied specialist knowledge, coupled with his relaxed leadership style, will strengthen the AXON Medical practice and foster new and exciting opportunities for the Firm.
